Yorkshire is becoming an increasingly important centre of media in many forms, as evidenced by the move of Channel 4’s national headquarters to Leeds and Bradford’s status as the world’s first UNESCO City of Film.
Media takes many forms, from traditional local journalism roles to bloggers, from social media experts to photographers and videographers, from writers to graphic designers and more.
The judges are looking for people who are making a success in areas where young South Asians have been under-represented and where the barriers to success have been higher and more challenging than for those from other backgrounds.
