In partnership with Jobcentre Plus, QED-UK has been running a very sucessful programme for New Arrivals for the past five years, and every year it has helped about 150 recently-arrived people (ie people who have been in the UK for less than 18 months) to settle in Britain and look for employment.
From June 2008, in partnership with BEST, New Arrivals has been renamed New Start Programme, and it will continue to help new arrivals to find employment in the UK.

Finding a job and settling into a new country is a daunting experience for anyone. If you have arrived in West Yorkshire in the last 18 months from any part of the world, and are looking for employment, then the New Start Team at QED-UK may be able to help you. All our services are free.

Assessment of your qualifications and experience.
Training in English and IT skills.
A friendly and supportive centre from which to for jobs.
Guidance in preparing job applications, CVs interviews.
