This project has been running very sucessfully for the past five years. Every year it helps about 150 recently-arrived people (ie people who have been in the UK for less than 18 months) and, of these, about 60 a year end up in employment.
Finding a job and settling into a new country is a daunting experience for anyone. If you have arrived in Bradford in the last 18 months from any part of the world, and are looking for employment, then the New Arrivals Team at QED-UK may be able to help you. All our services are free.
The New Arrivals Programme offers:
Insights into what life is like in Britain.
Assessment of your qualifications and experience.
Training in English and IT skills.
A friendly and supportive centre from which to for jobs.
Guidance in preparing job applications, CVs interviews.
